Milly’s TOP 3 Bites of August
Hellbender
Churros
Not even kidding, I could talk about this spot all day long. Every bite was packed with so much flavor and spice!
My personal favorites of the night were the mushroom tacos, lamb tacos, watermelon chamoy, Oaxacan fried cheese, and of course, the churros! Not only is the food amazing, but the drinks are well-balanced, delicious, and perfect to start your night. Do not sleep on the cocktails, i’m telling you guys…

2. Kabawa
Chuletas Can Can (for 2)
This pork was crispy, tender, and just perfect. It comes with a side of rice and sweet potato charred with pineapple, and wow, this had us in a chokehold. Possibly one of the best meals of the year so far or definitely will be on the top of our lists.
Breadfruit Tostón
The breadfruit toston consisted of perfectly cooked octopus with “dog sauce” and capers. I don’t even know how to explain what “dog sauce” is, but it usually consists of garlic, Scotch bonnet peppers, and lime zest, which really elevated the dish. That nice spice from the pepper, with the freshness from the octopus, was extremely well balanced on the flaky pastry.
Coconut Turnover for 2
Guys… This coconut turnover was amazing. It was soft, warm, and honestly tasted like their version of the perfect Cinnabon. That cinnamon sugar with the coconut cream… I’m literally salivating thinking about this dessert again.
3. Salt Hanks
French Dip Sandwich
ICONIC. I get why there’s always a line, and I gotta say… Even though it’s on the pricer side ($28), it is SO DELICIOUS. The baguette is fresh, the meat is slow-cooked to perfection, and this jus is… CHEFS KISS. Probably one of the best sandwiches I have had all year.
