Bitter Behavior

Ingredients

• 1½ oz bourbon

• ¾ oz Campari

• ¾ oz sweet vermouth

• Orange peel, for garnish

• Ice

How to Make It

1. Add bourbon, Campari, and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass.

2. Fill with ice and stir until chilled.

3. Strain into a chilled coupe or over one large ice cube in a rocks glass.

4. For the burnt orange: hold an orange peel skin-side down over the drink and gently warm it with a lighter or match until the oils begin to release. Express the peel over the cocktail, then drop it in as your garnish.
