Rokstar Chicken Brings the Crunch to NoHo

Congratulations are in order for Rokstar Chicken on the grand opening of its newest location in NoHo, bringing some seriously crave-worthy Korean fried chicken to one of New York City’s busiest dining neighborhoods.

If there’s one thing New Yorkers never say no to, it’s fried chicken. But Korean fried chicken plays by a different set of rules. It’s lighter, crispier, packed with flavor, and somehow stays crunchy until the very last bite. Rokstar Chicken leans into exactly what makes the style so addictive while keeping the experience approachable, fun, and perfect for everything from a casual lunch to late-night bites with friends.

From the moment we walked in, the energy matched the food. The new NoHo space feels fresh, lively, and built for gathering, whether you’re catching up over soju or grabbing dinner before a night out downtown. It’s the kind of spot that effortlessly finds its way into your weekly rotation.

Now for the important part: the chicken.

Our standout order of the night was, without question, the Korean Hot Sweet Chili. It delivered everything we look for in Korean fried chicken: an impossibly crispy exterior, juicy meat, and a sauce that balanced sweetness with just the right amount of heat. Every bite had that sticky, glossy finish that leaves you reaching for “just one more” until the basket is somehow empty.

That said, you truly can’t go wrong with the Soy Garlic either. It’s a classic for a reason. Rich, savory, slightly sweet, and packed with umami, it’s the kind of flavor that keeps Korean fried chicken fans coming back again and again. If you’re visiting with friends, our recommendation is simple: order both and let the table decide their favorite.

Of course, no Korean fried chicken feast is complete without something to sip alongside it. We paired our meal with refreshing melon Jinro soju, a combination that perfectly complemented the bold flavors of the chicken. And don’t skip Rokstar’s signature hot sauce. It adds another layer of heat and tang that makes an already great bite even better.

As New York’s Korean food scene continues to evolve, it’s exciting to see more concepts like Rokstar Chicken expanding across the city and making authentic, flavor-packed comfort food more accessible. Their new NoHo location is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and another reminder that great fried chicken is always worth crossing town for.

Congratulations again to the entire Rokstar Chicken team on the grand opening of your NoHo location. We can’t wait to be back for another round of Korean Hot Sweet Chili, a basket of Soy Garlic, and, of course, another bottle of melon Jinro.
